Team Lead or Technical Lead - Managed Services

Roles and Responsibilities

The Cloud Engineer Lead will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP. This role demands deep hands-on experience in infrastructure concepts and extensive work with cloud technologies to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our environments.

  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure for domestic and international clients on AWS and GCP.
  • Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of cloud environments.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management processes using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Develop tools and automation to make platform operations more efficient, reliable, and reproducible.
  • Collaborate with customer development teams to support their infrastructure needs.
  • Provide business, application, and technology consulting in feasibility discussions with technology team members, customers, and business partners.
  • Create and manage container orchestration systems using Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior cloud engineers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, plug into user groups, and ensure clients are using the best techniques and tools.
  • Take initiatives to lead, drive, and solve challenges during complex scenarios.

  • Must have team handling skills (Minimum 5-10 SREs)
  • Prepare Weekly and monthly report and share it with internal or external stakeholders

Technical Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering.
  • Must have AWS, GCP and Azure Professional certification
  • CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE and or equivalent certification would be an added advantage
  • Strong proficiency in AWS and GCP cloud services.
  • Excellent scripting and automation skills (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Linux systems and/or Windows servers.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (EKS, ECS, EC2, VPC, RDS, Lambda) and GCP services (GKE, Compute Engine).
  • Hands-on experience in Site 24/7, Prometheus, Grafana and other monitoring tools
  • Hands-on experience in ticketing tools such as Freshworks, Service Now, Jira, etc…
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Java, .Net).
  • Good understanding of Apache Web Server, Nginx, MySQL, MongoDB, Nagios.
  • Knowledge of logging and monitoring tools (ELK, Stackdriver, CloudWatch).
  • Deep experience in customer-facing roles with a proven track record of effective verbal and written communications.
  • Good team player with a desire to learn and work with new technologies.
  • Passionate about automation and continuously seeking ways to streamline processes.
